Why is exercise important for pregnant women?

Why is exercise important for pregnant women?

Research shows that women with hypertension during pregnancy have a 2.2 times higher risk of developing cardiovascular disease and 5.6 times higher risk of developing hypertension post-partum as compared to women without hypertension while they were pregnant. Hence women who are considering to conceive should evaluate this and start with a healthy exercise program and healthy eating habits to prevent having increased blood pressure.

Women who are already at the risk for high blood pressure even at the beginning of your pregnancy should speak to their professionals and come up with a plan to prevent it from worsening or help to reduce it. Hence exercising is very important for women before and during pregnancy to stay healthy and keep your baby healthy.
